Five days and four nights in Yosemite, the first land the United States decided to protect, in 1864. We go in mid-November for three things: low light all day long, the end of the autumn colour in the valley, and far fewer people than in high season.

What is included and what is not
Included
- Four nights' lodging at the base hotel in Oakhurst, minutes from the park's South entrance
- Photography instruction every day, in the field and in the evening sessions
- A working session every evening at the hotel: editing and portfolio critique
- A closing screening where each participant presents their three images of the week
- Ground transport throughout the trip, to and from Fresno airport
- A group of 5 people at most

- Flights to and from Fresno (FAT). Arrival is on November 10 before 12:30 and departure on November 14 from 14:00 onward

What we will do
Day by day
Day 1: arrival and first sunset at Tunnel View
Arrival in Fresno and a direct drive to the park. First photos at Valley View and sunset at Tunnel View, with the sun behind you lighting up El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridalveil. In the evening, a welcome dinner and a technical briefing.
Day 2: Glacier Point and the sun inside the frame
A morning without an alarm. Glacier Point and Washburn Point, the climb to Sentinel Dome with 360 degrees of the Sierra Nevada, and sunset at Taft Point with the sun inside the frame.
Day 3: sunrise with stars and Half Dome at sunset
Sunrise at Valley View with the last stars over El Capitan. Bridalveil Fall, Cook's Meadow and the Ansel Adams Gallery. To close, the last light on Half Dome reflected in the Merced River. In the evening, a portfolio review.
Day 4: sequoias and the last sunset at Tunnel View
A morning without an alarm. The giant sequoias of Mariposa Grove, the Wawona covered bridge, El Capitan Meadow and the last sunset at Tunnel View. That night is the closing dinner with the final screening.
Day 5: departure
Departure.
